| Training of humanitarian workers in the framework of the European Commission Humanitarian Aid department project |
| Between 20th and 22nd July 2010, Foundation "Together" organized a three day training for humanitarian workers in the framework of an European Commission Humanitarian Aid department (DG ECHO) project titled "Strenghtening the capacities of non-governmental organizations in ECHO underrepresented countries".
In addition to Foundation "Together", the training was attended by participants from both project partner organizations – Sloga Platform from Slovenia and People in Peril from Slovakia – and nine other non-governmental organizations from Slovenia and Slovakia. The first two days of the training were dedicated to the structure of humanitarian help in the European Union, the preparation of rapid needs assessment and the basics of establishing humanitarian actions in the field. On the last day, the participants were trained in methods of humanitarian project preparation and grant application writing.
The training was implemented by trainers from punto.sud, one of the most competent non-governmental organizations in the field of education in humanitarian affairs.
