Goals of The Foundation "TOGETHER"
The Foundation "TOGETHER" has the following objectives:
ā¢ To develop comprehensive inter-sector and inter-disciplinary
Ā models of psychosocial protection of children
ā¢ To mobilize civil society resources on behalf of the well-being of
Ā children
ā¢ To allow for exchange of experiences and models of good practice
ā¢ To develop cross-border networks and facilitate cooperation in the
Ā region and wider
The basic principle of the activities of The Foundation "TOGETHER" is strengthening of local structures, such as institutional child care organizations and NGOs, as well as developing models that can be sustained even after foreign assistance withdraws.
There is a need for the programs to be efficient in the long-term and adapted to local needs.
It has become increasingly evident that only concepts and models that are specifically adapted to historical and social context and existing circumstances of a certain environment can effectively contribute to the overall well-being of the region and the well-being of the individuals.
The continuity of such programs is of crucial importance for their efficiency. The Foundation "TOGETHER" strives to adjust the programs to local needs and to integrate in its programs sustainability, continuity and development of regional capacities and thus ensure efficient support and help to children in the region.
In the programs, organized by the Foundation "TOGETHER" and implemented together with its partner organizations in individual countries, hundreds of facilitators (psychiatrists, paediatricians, other medical workers, psychologists, pedagogues, special teachers, speech therapists, social workers), thousands of participants (teachers and other school workers, health workers, volunteers) and hundreds of thousands of children are included.
