Psychosocial seminars for teachers in Baghdad

From 12-16 October and 19-22 October 2008, the Foundation “TOGETHER”, in cooperation with Iraqi Human Relief Organization, carried out two modules of psychosocial seminars for 50 teachers at the Almustasirya Medical Faculty in Baghdad (Iraq). The seminars were conducted by ten local experts in the field of mental health and primary health. The participants came from 25 mixed (for boys and girls) kindergartens and schools in Alkarkh 1 and Alkarkh 2 Directorates of Education, covering about 40% of Baghdad. In total, there are 630 teachers in the abovementioned 25 schools
The Foundation “TOGETHER” kicked off the follow up research on suicidal behaviour among the youth in Kosovo

Between 19 and 29 October 2008, Ms. Vera Remškar, Executive Director of the Foundation “TOGETHER”, stayed in Kosovo where she visited the schools included in the project, together with the experts and students from the Psychology Department of the University of Priština, to discuss the further course of action.
Lectures organised within the project of Counselling Centre in Serbia

In October 2008, there were two lectures organised within the project on the “Counselling Centre for Children, Youth and Parents in Kruševac (Serbia):
• “Juvenile Delinquency”, at the “Vojvoda Prijezda” Primary School, Municipality of Ćićevac; and
• “Abuse of Negligence of Children”, at Ćićevac, organised by the Local Self-Government on the initiative of the Ćićevac Health Centre.
