On 17 March, Dr. Danilo TĆ¼rk received the Executive Director, Vera RemÅ”kar, and the Project Coordinators, Barbara Zemljak and Julija Å karabot. They acquainted the President with the projects and programmes of the Foundation in different countries and the plans for further work. Dr. TĆ¼rk expressed the view that there is a marked and long-term need for such programmes in many regions, but often given insufficient attention.
Seminar for professional workers of the Counselling Centre in Skopje

Within the project on āCounselling and Education Centre for Children, Teachers and Parents in Skopjeā, a seminar was held from 13 to 15 March in Skopje, under professional leadership of Mr. Herman Vernik. The seminar as attended by twelve professional workers of the Centre who will take part in the project implementation.
Mr. Herman Vernik acquainted the participants with the operation methods of the counselling centre for children, teachers and parents, the methods of financing and liaising with other professional institutions. He outlined also the methods of providing help and counselling techniques for children with special needs, their parents and teachers.
Meeting with the Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia, Mr. Samuel Žbogar

The Executive Director of the Foundation āTogether, Ms. Vera RemÅ”kar, attended the meeting convened by the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mr. Samuel Žbogar for the representatives of non-governmental organizations on 9 March 2009. The theme of the meeting was the promotion of human rights within the foreign policy of the Republic of Slovenia.

The Executive Director of the Foundation āTogetherā, Ms. Vera RemÅ”kar and the Project Coordinator, Ms. Barbara Zemljak, held a meeting with the State Secretary in the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Slovenia, Mr. Ivan Eržen, and the Secretary of the EU Affairs and International Cooperation Service of the Ministry of Health, Ms. Dunja Gruntar Golanda. The representatives of the Foundation āTogetherā acquainted the State Secretary with the operation of the Foundation and in particular with the psychosocial project, which has been implemented in Iraq since 2003. They requested the State Secretary to co-finance the project or support financially the project implementation in 2009.
