MEETINGS AT THE SEASIDE

Portorož, the 'Port of Roses', is the main resort on the Slovenian coast and has been attracting visitors for generations, particularly since the discovery of the curative powers of its climate, salt, brine and saline silt. It has every facility you would expect in a modern seaside destination, including thermal and wellness centres, as well as conference and convention venues. Portorož is full of life and its seafront boulevards are lined with bistros, restaurants, cafes and discotheques. There is a modern casino and a host of outdoor activities to enjoy on sea and land.

The surrounding area has numerous attractive places to visit, starting with picturesque Piran, a short walk along the coast, the old saltpans at Sečovlje which are now a wetland of international importance and a nature lover's paradise, sleepy stone villages surrounded by olive groves in the hills above Portorož, the Lipica stud farm with its world-famous Lipizzaner white horses, and the incredible underworld at Škocjan and Postojna caves.

The area also offers various unusual incentive programmes, such as salt or olive harvesting and sailing regattas.

The St Bernardin Adriatic Resort & Convention Centre is between Portorož and Piran and is the largest hotel convention centre in Slovenia, with seating for a maximum of 1,100 delegates in its main hall. The Morje Hotels are in the centre of Portorož and have superb facilities catering for up to 480 in their largest hall. The conference centre has seven state-of-the-art halls and the staff provide friendly service and attention to detail. The Wai Thai centre of traditional Thai massage and beauty care is the largest of its kind in Europe and is ideal for conference delegates and accompanying persons alike.

The Avditorij Cultural & Congress Centre has five halls seating a maximum of 500 guests and a roofed auditorium for up to 1,800. A dedicated and experienced in-house PCO team provide a full range of services to make sure your event runs smoothly and successfully.
