THEME OF THE EXPERT SEMINAR

Theme of the expert seminar

Modern organisations are flexible and capable of rapid development or at least adapting to new trends. They deal with the development of new or updating existing products, services and technologies, the organisation and business processes of the company, the development and introduction of new marketing methods, and other issues. All of these are unique business processes - projects which one encounters in many spheres and at many levels of society. The increasingly dynamic business environment means the need for new projects has been growing.

In organisations where the basic activity is not project-oriented one confronts the problem of integrating project organisation into the existing line organisation, which is organised mostly for the purpose of performing the basic activity.

The organisers are inviting experts to present practical solutions to problems that arise in practice, new models for organisation and development trends in this field at the Seminar.

Two round table discussions will be organised, the first addressing the topic of "Project Culture as an Integral Part of the Organisational Culture of a Company", while the second will be on the topic of "Organisation of a Modern Company from the Point of View of Project Organisation".

Main topics:

  • Conceptual Solution
This section is aimed at presenting the new theoretical understandings and a critical view of the existing solutions in the development of an organisation and the organising of business, with the emphasis on dealing with the issue of projects and project organisation and its integration into the basic organisation of profit-making and non-profit organisations.

  • Analysis of Case Studies
This section is aimed at providing a review of good practice cases, the successful application of new features into practice, and a presentation of a critical analysis of specific cases of application of traditional forms of organisation, from the point of view of the possibilities offered by various forms of modern project organisation.

  • Future Trends
This section is aimed at presenting development trends and the new provocative forms of business organisation.

  • IPMA R&D Workshop
"International networking among universities, R&D organisations and independent researchers - what support is expected from organisations such as the IPMA and the ICEC"
