Authors are invited to submit abstracts for consideration
and inclusion in the programme as oral or poster presentations. Texts,
containing 250 words maximum, must be written in English, using simple
and clear sentences. Abstracts should be structured with subheadings:
introduction, aims, materials and methods, results and conclusion.
Abstracts will be published in Virchows Archiv in the original form
as submitted by the authors. The abstract volume will be distributed
to all Congress participants upon registration in Ljubljana.
We highly
recommend the electronic submission of abstracts
via this web site. Exceptionally, if you have no possibility of
access to the Internet, the abstract may be sent in paper form,
together with a diskette, to the Congress Secretariat, Cankarjev
dom, Cultural and Congress Centre.
Deadline for submission of abstracts is March
1, 2003
In response to a number of requests, the Organising Committee has succeeded in extending the deadline for submission of abstracts to April 15, 2003.
You will find detailed guidelines for submitting your
abstract electronically on the Congress web site. An acknowledgement
of receipt of your submission will be sent to your e-mail address
after the completed submission. If you do not receive confirmation,
your submission was incomplete and needs to be re-submitted.
Abstracts sent in paper form will be accepted exceptionally.
Submit your abstract to the 19th ECP Secretariat, Cankarjev dom, Cultural
and Congress Centre in 3 copies, together with a diskette, using Microsoft
Word 97 format or later version of Word for Windows, or RTF-format,
font Times New Roman, size 12 pts. The PC compatible diskette should
only contain the abstract file. Label the diskette with the title
of the abstract and the surname of the corresponding author.
Do not fax your abstract. Please note that abstracts
sent by fax will not be reviewed.
Abstracts sent in paper form must include
- title with capitalised first letter only
- initials and names of the first author and co-authors
- institutions of the first author and co-authors
- text of the abstract, containing 250 words maximum, structured with
subheadings: introduction, aims, materials and methods, results and
conclusion
- name, surname, address and e-mail address of the presenting author,
to whom the confirmation and further correspondence will be sent
- notification of the abstract category from the list below
- the preferred presentation type: oral, poster or no preference
